Introducing our first-ever Mayor, Jack the Horse!

With over 1,100 votes cast for the candidates and days of campaigning behind us, we are proud to announce that Jack the Horse is the first-ever Mayor of Helen Woodward Animal Center! Jack is a 15-year-old Appendix Quarter Horse who has been working for years in our Therapeutic Riding program with his best friend, Courtney. Jack loves to serve as a therapy source to our community of riders, no matter their age.

This Kansas City native is confident and kind and has a hilarious personality, making him such an entertaining friend to all! Thank you to everyone who voted, and congratulations to Jack!
