Rainbow Windsock Materials Needed
- 1 toilet paper roll
- Blue paper
- White paper
- Markers
- String (approx. 1 ft)
- 1-inch wide strips of various colors of tissue paper or streamers
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Hole punch
Rainbow Windsock Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Wrap your toilet paper tube in blue paper. To do this, the width of your paper should be the height of the toilet paper tube and the length should be long enough to allow you to wrap it around the tube with no toilet paper tube exposed. Cut off excess blue paper if needed. Secure the blue paper to the toilet paper tube with glue.
2. Next, punch two holes in the top of the tube. Put piece of string through both holes and tie ends in a knot. This will allow your windsock to be hung.
3. Next, glue strips of colored tissue paper onto the inside of the tube. Place the strips onto the opposite end of the tube that the holes are on.
4. Lastly, create and decorate a cloud shape and glue onto front of the windsock.
Hang your windsock in a nearby tree or a window so you can see a rainbow’s beauty every day! Use it as a little reminder that if you want a rainbow, you gotta put up with a little rain!
