Helen Woodward Animal Center Hosts a Corporate Round Table on AI with NextLeft’s John McKusick…

RANCHO SANTA FE (Jul. 12, 2023) – In the world of animal welfare, the word “artificial” almost never makes an appearance.  Hands-on therapeutic programs and community services uniting humans and critters are the key to enhancing lives.  Lately, however, “Artificial Intelligence” has been the big buzz phrase circulating public discourse and this futuristic technology is making an impact in every workplace across the world, including animal shelters.  Helen Woodward Animal Center is excited to announce that it is hosting a corporate round table event to discuss the revolutionary technology of AI on July 18th. The conference will be led by John McKusick, a San Diego based tech entrepreneur and founder of NextLeft, a digital marketing company and dedicated partner to the Center.

McKusick is no stranger to the digital world. He began his career in cyberspace in 1999 when he co-founded Geary Interactive, a digital marketing firm offering services to clients ranging from Toshiba to General Mills. He began his venture with NextLeft (one of the fastest growing businesses in California) in 2015, choosing to focus on dynamic SEO and content strategies. While NextLeft has helped major brands like Hallmark and Doma, McKusick wanted to make a difference in the world too, and since 2021 the company has been helping Helen Woodward Animal Center thrive in the online world.

Helen Woodward Animal Center has always striven to be at the forefront of innovative solutions in the animal welfare world. The Center offers 14 unique programs all focused on the mission of people helping animals and animals helping people.  Yet, while personal interaction is at its core, Center President and CEO Mike Arms has always maintained that business-minded, state-of-the-art solutions are the real pathway to success.

“The animals already have our hearts,” Arms stated, “What they need are our minds.  That includes any technological advances that may give this industry an edge.  We have been grateful to NextLeft for always keeping us technologically current and moving forward.  We’re very interested in what John has to teach us about this next phase.”

During the round table discussion, McKusick will discuss his vision of AI and the opportunities it will bring. He aims to dispel popular misconceptions surrounding its potential, as well as exploring the practical applications Artificial Intelligence brings to small businesses. Finally, McKusick will open a dialogue about AI’s ability to revolutionize various industries and the enormous impact this advancement will have on society at large.  Rightfully so, as Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been called, “the most important advancement in technology since the personal computer,” according to tech titan Bill Gates.

The conference will be held in Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Morse Hall at 8:00 a.m. on July 18th. Breakfast will be served to all attendees, and there is no fee for attendance.

Those interested in attending the round table can reach out to Jessica Noble at (858) 756-4117 ext. x350 by July 15th.
