Howl-O-Ween Harvest – Schools, Scouts, Play groups
Let’s give your class, scout troop, or play group pumpkin to talk about this autumn with Howl-O-Ween Harvest! Guests will have a fang-tastic time learning about what makes some of our “creepy” critters not so scary through hands-on animal interactions, mini-pumpkin picking, and use of their detective skills in our Midnight Mystery Laboratory!
School teachers: Howl-O-Ween Harvest incorporates STEM and meets NGSS for grades Preschool-6th.
Grades/Ages: Toddlers-6th grade
Date/Time: Programs can be booked from October 1st – November 11th 2022 by appointment.
Click Here for more details 90 minute programs include interactions with 4 animals plus a STEM activity. 60 minute programs include interactions with 3 animals plus a STEM activity OR interactions with 4 animals and no activity. If you choose to meet 3 animals and do the STEM activity, you can choose 3 of the 4 animals listed below.
The animals you will meet onsite are: goat, snake, rat, and Madagascar hissing cockroach.

Halloween Event for Families
2022 Howl-O-Ween Harvest Family Festival
October 15th ● October 22nd ● October 29th ● October 30th
9:00am – 1:00pm
Recommended for families with toddler and elementary age children, but all ages are welcome!
It’s time to have some family skele-fun at Howl-O-Ween Harvest Family Festival! Get into the Halloween spirit with your little ghouls and goblins as you enjoy hands-on animal encounters, trick or treat stations, crafts, face painting, a mini pumpkin patch, and a trip to our Midnight Mystery Laboratory if you dare! Our animal ambassadors are excited to show off their spook-tacular attire so be sure to come dressed to impress. It’s sure to be a howl-ing good time!
Your program fee helps support all of our adoptable animals, as well as the many human and animal services that Helen Woodward Animal Center provides.
