Valentine’s Weekend Event Aims to Make a Clean Sweep of Orphan Pet Homelessness…
Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. (February 2, 2022) – Helen Woodward Animal Center’s available cats and dogs have been in a lather over the upcoming event that aims to find homes for a large number of orphan pets. Soapy Joe’s, the family-owned carwash with fourteen San Diego locations, is celebrating the launch of its new Magic Ceramic topcoat on Valentine’s Day by showing love to the San Diego community and their pets, as well as orphan pets seeking new families. The public is invited to a very special Soapy Joe’s Magic Pet Parade and Adoption Event on Saturday, February 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We hope you’ll join us at Soapy Joe’s in Mission Valley – 10383 Friars Rd, San Diego, CA 92120 for a chance to participate in a Guinness Book World Record-seeking pet parade, compete in a pet photo contest, and maybe even meet your newest furry family member with adoption fees covered by Soapy Joes!
As a family business, Soapy Joe’s shares Helen Woodward Animal Center’s belief that pets contribute greatly to what makes a family so special. So, when the company got ready to announce the latest advancement to their carwash technology, they wanted to make sure that pets were included in the festivities.
“Our wash club members’ love for their pets’ coats to shine as bright as our new Magic Ceramic topcoat, so we’re bringing the two together for the world’s first carwash pet parade,” said Lorens Attisha, founder and CEO of Soapy Joe’s. “We are thrilled to host this one-of-a-kind event to celebrate our community love and showcase our newest product that gives a shiny coat any pet would envy.”
The Soapy Joe’s Magic Pet Parade and Adoption Event, scheduled for Saturday, February 12th, kicks off at 10:00am, with the Guinness World Record-seeking community pet parade (through the wash tunnel) beginning at 11:00 a.m. All participants receive a complimentary Magic Joe wash, featuring the Magic Ceramic topcoat, free during the parade ($20 value). Those participating may reserve a 30-minute start time window by filling out a form on Soapy Joe’s website: https://soapyjoescarwash.com/
Parade-goers are asked to bring their pets along for the ride and encouraged to snap a photo of their pet while in the wash. Fans will vote on their favorite carwash pet picture, and the winner will receive a $1,000 prize pack. All participants will be a part of helping Soapy Joe’s make history.
Additional on-site activities will include chances to win thousands of dollars in prizes for pets, Soapy Joe’s pet swag, and custom themed dog treats, as well as fun pet photo opportunities with the Soapy mascot.
But perhaps most exciting of all, those seeking a new furry family member are invited to the event to meet a wide variety of Helen Woodward orphan canines. Those who meet the perfect pet will receive the gift of adoption fees covered by Soapy Joe’s. In fact, the big-hearted company plans to sponsor $20,000 in adoption fees in an effort to find homes for approximately 50 pets. If participants do not spot a pet on-site that suits their family, they are still eligible to receive a voucher from Soapy Joe’s to cover the adoption and microchip fees of a pet they find at the Center, good until February 28th. (Note: All hopeful adopters, including those who spot a pet at the February 12th Adoption Event, are required to come to Helen Woodward Animal Center to process and finalize adoption paperwork before they may take ownership of the pet.)
