People and Pups PAW-ty Out To Sea

City Cruises anchored by Hornblower Welcomes Canine Crews to a
BEACH PAW-TY BONANZA Themed Pet Day on the Bay Supporting Helen Woodward Animal Center!

Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.  (Apr. 13, 2023) – City Cruises’ Pet Day on the Bay is back to treat humans and their furry family members to a pet-friendly boat tour around the San Diego Bay. The adorable event, supporting Helen Woodward Animal Center, is celebrating its 21st Annual Year and will feature a BEACH PAW-TY BONANZA theme on Saturday, April 29, 2023 with four excursions departing from 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

For two decades, City Cruises and Events anchored by Hornblower has invited animal lovers and their best FUR-iends to hop on board for the fuzzy and fun cruise around the Bay! Pet Day on the Bay is the only event of its kind in southern California.

This year, attendees are encouraged to bring an unopened, unexpired and non-prescription bag of dry or canned pet food to help Helen Woodward Animal Center’s AniMeals program.  The mission of AniMeals is to keep pets in their home regardless of the financial challenges faced by their owners which include homebound and low-income elderly, disabled veterans and the individuals experiencing homelessness. Dog and cat treats are also welcome, along with cash donations.  A donation area will be set up next to the Ticket Booth for check in.

On board, canine crew members can sport their furry beach bods and pose for sea-sational photo opportunities. Humans will enjoy the beautiful bay views and a cash snack bar while their fuzzy companions will delight in a puppy treat-station on deck, provided by Kahoots!

Voyages depart at 9:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:00 p.m.  and 2:15 p.m. from 1800 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego 92101. A FREE canine ticket is included with the purchase of one adult ticket ($35).  Adoptable pups will be portside to wave a paw to human and canine guests as they depart from the dock.

Well-behaved dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome for City Cruises’ Pet Day tours.  (Canines must be kept on a leash throughout the ride.) Guests can board without dogs, as well, or simply stop by the ticket booth between 9:30am and 2:15pm to drop off AniMeals donations or financial donations for Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Tickets are $35 for adults, $26.75 for children ages 4 to 12, and $33 for military.  Children three and under are free. To make reservations, visit https://www.cityexperiences.com/san-diego/city-cruises/pet-day-on-the-bay-annual-cruise/.
