Helen Woodward Animal Center Celebrates Walmart Donation

Retailer to donate up to $300,000 for animal adoption program with the launch of Blue Buffalo coming to stores nationwide

(RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – April 18, 2019) – Today, Walmart is kicking off a social campaign in support of the Helen Woodward Animal Center. For every customer that shares a photo of them and their pet with the hashtag #BlueBuffaloAtWalmart or shares the campaign launch post from @Walmart,  the retailer will donate $10 to the Center in support of its animal adoption efforts, up to $300,000. The program celebrates the great work from Helen Woodward Animal Center, the retailer’s commitment to our furry family members, and the launch of Blue Buffalo on Walmart shelves nationwide.

Blue Buffalo has partnered with Helen Woodward Animal Center since 2012, as title sponsor of the Home 4 the Holidays Campaign, helping place more than 16 million orphan pets into loving homes with participating shelters across the globe.

“We have a wonderful history and friendship with Blue Buffalo,” stated Helen Woodward Animal Center President and CEO Mike Arms.  “We are honored to be a part of this launch of Blue Buffalo pet food in Walmart stores and we are very touched that Walmart wants to help orphan pets with this incredibly generous launch promotion.  The social media buzz is a great way to remind people to adopt their next pet and the funds raised will save the lives of thousands of homeless dogs and cats.”
