Halo is Mother of the Year!
Rescuers found Halo, a 10-month-old tuxedo kitty, nursing 10 kittens all on her own on the streets of Los Angeles. However, something seemed strange to the rescuers. Four of the kitties appeared noticeably larger than the other six. After taking the strange feline family to someplace safe and warm, their guardians realized Halo was nursing two different sets of kittens!
Update 1
When Halo and her two litters arrived at the Center on March 18, we were astonished to see how amazing Halo is! She was nursing her own babies and adopted the other litter as her own. It was a beautiful sight to see.

Update 2
Halo and her babies came to the Center for their Checkup to make sure everyone is healthy and thriving on March 31st.
Mama Halo is also doing very well! She is such a gentle and attentive mama! These furry babies truly got lucky with such a caring mother.
Update 3
On April 16, Halo and her babies came in for a check-up. Her adopted litter are 6 weeks old, and her biological litter are 4 weeks old. Both sets of kittens are growing strong under her devoted care. Halo continues to impress everyone with her gentle, nurturing spirit.

Update 4
On April 28, Halo’s kittens were going to have their 9 and 8-week split. They are big enough to have their spay and neuter surgeries and begin their new chapter in finding their forever homes! Mama Halo did so well raising these sweet kittens. It is now their turn to spread their paws and find a loving home!

Update 5
On May 7, 2025, Happy, Harley, Harp, and Harmony became available for adoption! These sweet babies are ready to find their forever homes that weekend. It is a very exciting new chapter for these sweet siblings.

It’s Mama Halo’s time to shine! After lovingly raising and protecting her ten kittens, this incredible mama is ready to begin her next chapter, with a forever family of her own. Now it’s her turn to be pampered, spoiled with toys, treats, and snuggles, and showered with the love she so deserves. She’s done her part, now she’s ready for some well-earned R&R. Come meet this sweet soul, Halo is officially available for adoption on May 14!

Halo’s babies are growing up and starting their own journeys, and on May 15 it’s Holiday’s turn! This sweet little one just had her surgery and is officially ready to find a forever home of her own. Keep an eye out for more of Halo’s kittens will be available soon!
