Women to unify for Orphan Pets at first Paws and Unwind Inspirational Luncheon
Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. (October 12, 2018) – Helen Woodward Animal Center, with event sponsor Maserati San Diego, invite local women to take charge and unite for a common mission. A growing group of female supporters, or “Paw Partners,” are already leading change and working together to advocate, raise funds and unite to save more orphan pets.
The group, with hopes to expand, welcomes animal-loving and cause-driven women to Paws and Unwind: Unleash Your Inner Power, an inspirational luncheon. The event is open to all individuals and joining the Paw Partners group is not a necessary requirement to partake in this exciting and motivating gathering.
The inaugural event, being held at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club on Tuesday, Oct 23 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will feature a special welcome from Center Pet Encounter Therapy animals and extensive spread of shopping opportunities with champagne before a sit-down lunch.
Paw Partners and the Center are pleased to welcome presenting speaker, Debbie Love as she shares her inspirational story of finding inner and outer strength. Love, a 4th degree black belt, has dedicated the last decade to empowering women and girls with tools for self-defense. Her drive to teach others these important and life-saving skills stems from the tragic and violent death of her cousin. The horrific incident that sent Love’s entire family into turmoil set Love on a mission to ensure other women don’t suffer her cousin’s fate. Love is the founder of Heads Up Karate and Self Defense for Women headquartered in Encinitas.
An opportunity drawing will feature items from participating vendors, Bon Bon, Bubbles Boutique, Couture by the Sea, Grazia Bella, Del Mar Hat Company, Kendra Scott, Pacifica Culinaria and Sweet Violet. Twenty percent of all sales will also benefit the orphan pets and programs at the Center.
Potential Paw Partners are invited to learn more about joining fellow animal supporters of the Center behind the unifying goal of finding loving homes for the thousands of orphan pets who come into the Center’s care yearly. Together, they’ll work toward that mission by planning events, developing funding campaigns and conducting outreach.
