Alicia Silverstone Visits Helen Woodward Animal Center to Meet the Pets She Saved

A heartfelt thank you to our friend Alicia Silverstone, actress, author, and lifelong animal advocate whose compassion helped save a vulnerable rescue dog and her puppies this holiday season.

On the eve of Christmas Eve, a pregnant mama dog was just 24 hours away from euthanasia in an overcrowded shelter when Alicia brought urgent attention to her story. With time running out, Helen Woodward Animal Center immediately mobilized a lifesaving rescue mission. During the team’s journey north, the mama dog went into labor, giving birth to fourteen puppies. Twelve survived, each one a true Christmas rescue miracle.

Recently, Alicia visited the Center to reunite with Noel and the puppies she helped save, witnessing their remarkable recovery and growth. The visit became even more meaningful when Alicia opened her home to four of the rescued puppies, now fostering them as they continue their journey toward loving forever families.
